Portrait of Dr. Sebastian A. Pauli

Dr. agr. Sebastian A. Pauli

Agricultural engineer, family man, practitioner. I bring agriculture and digitalisation together – ideally where technology really helps in everyday farm life. A fellow student gave me the name HENABAUA on my first day at Weihenstephan, Technical University of Munich. Ever since, it has stood for everything I do – including this website.

I have stayed true to my roots: agriculture, the Bavarian Forest and my home region of Freyung-Grafenau. Together with my family, I develop Geflügelhof Pauli in my spare time.

Digitalisation can give rural regions like ours a real head start – if it works in practice. That is why I try new things on our own farm first: when the Wi-Fi between the buildings was unreliable, I measured it and found the cause. I pass on this and much more in talks, seminars and supervised student theses.

Hof-Funk

Measure Wi-Fi on the farm with your phone: Hof-Funk shows how far each access point reaches – indoors and outdoors, in 3D over aerial imagery and buildings. That is how I tracked down overlapping Wi-Fi channels as the cause of unreliable Wi-Fi. The Android app is free for one site (in German).
